Stephen W. Becker is a multi-disciplined global business executive and board leader with more than three decades of experience driving growth, operational excellence, and international expansion across the manufacturing, rail, infrastructure, and industrial technology sectors. Throughout his career, he has led complex global organizations with significant P&L responsibility while building high-performing teams, executing strategic transformation initiatives, and developing long-term partnerships across North America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Latin America.

Mr. Becker previously served as Executive Vice President of Transit for Amsted Rail, where he led the company’s expansion into the transit market through strategic acquisitions, organizational development, and commercial growth initiatives. Under his leadership, the business rapidly scaled revenues while establishing a strong market position in an adjacent industry segment. Prior to that role, he served as Managing Director International for Amsted Rail, overseeing all commercial activities outside North America and helping transform the organization from a U.S.-centered manufacturer into a globally integrated producer and supplier serving major freight rail markets worldwide.

Earlier in his career with ABC-NACO/NACO, Inc., Mr. Becker held multiple senior executive leadership positions including President of Rail Products & Technology, President & Chief Technology Officer of ABC-NACO Technologies, Vice President & General Manager roles, and Vice President of Corporate Development. His leadership responsibilities included global manufacturing operations, product development, engineering, technology commercialization, strategic planning, operational restructuring, and international business expansion. He successfully led joint ventures and market-entry initiatives in China, Mexico, and Europe while overseeing large-scale operational improvement programs involving lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, ERP integration, and supply chain optimization.

In addition to his executive leadership experience, Mr. Becker has served on numerous domestic and international boards, including organizations in China, India, Africa, and the United States. His board and governance experience spans strategic planning, international partnerships, operational oversight, and organizational growth initiatives. He is recognized for his ability to align market opportunities with operational execution while fostering strong stakeholder relationships across diverse global business environments.

Mr. Becker holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from DePaul University and a Bachelor of Science in Industrial & Systems Engineering from the Illinois Institute of Technology. He has also been actively involved in professional and industry organizations including the National Association of Corporate Directors, the Steel Founders Society of America, the American Society of Mechanical Engineers, and the American Foundrymen’s Society.
